Jilly is Wyatt’s Sister.   Mitochondria Disease is rare with only one in 5,000 children being diagnosed. Since Jilly’s brother Wyatt was diagnosed with this rare disease it was even more unexpected when Jilly was diagnosed with the same disease.

 

When we heard of Jilly’s diagnosis, we reached out to see what we could do. We were told that Jilly wanted to pet a sloth.

Yes - a sloth.

We found that that Aviary in Pittsburg had a program that included a private show with a Sloth.   So, we sent the entire family to Pittsburgh to be a zoo keeper for the day.

Jilly got to pet a sloth and also had a penguin do “Finger Painting” with her and her entire family.
