In the early days of the Fund, Tim “Harley the Clown” often visited the kids in full makeup.   Joey spent over 100 days in the bone marrow transplant unit at E.I. Dupont. “Harley”(in plain clothes) would visit Joey weekly.   Harley taught Joey a lot of magic over that time. Joey often held magic shows for others in the Bone Marrow Unit and often played tricks on the nurses on the Unit.   The photo here is Joey as Harley's assistant walking into his own Surprise Birthday Party.
